Away pubs near every London football ground
By AwayDay Brief · Published 14 July 2026
London does more league football than any other city on earth: 12 grounds across the Premier League and EFL, from the 62,000-seat Tottenham Hotspur Stadium down to Plough Lane. If you follow your club away for a season, you will end up in most of them.
The pub is half the away day, and London is where getting it wrong stings most: some locals are firmly home-fans-only, and the good away-friendly spots fill up two hours before kick-off. The picks below are the curated recommendations from our ground guides, with honest notes where a pub leans one way or the other.
One rule before the list: when a note says a pub is home-leaning, believe it. Colours off in doubtful spots, and if a pub feels wrong, it is.

Three bits of London-specific advice
- Use the tube, not your car. Every ground on this list is inside the ULEZ and matchday parking is either restricted, expensive or both. See our guide to clean air zones and matchday parking.
- Drink a stop early. The pubs nearest the ground are the most rammed and the most heavily policed. One tube stop out usually means a faster pint and an easier walk in.
- Check the kick-off time twice. London fixtures get moved for TV more than anywhere else, and Sunday engineering works are a fact of life. A quick look at the line status before you set off saves a lot of pain.
These picks come from the same curated data as our ground pages, where each ground has the fuller away-day picture: capacity, station, bag policy and how to get there.
