Sheffield Wednesday away end

Visiting supporters get the West Stand, behind the goal on the Leppings Lane side, which has an upper and a lower tier. Four of Hillsborough's five stands are home only. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before a Saturday three o'clock, an hour before a midweek game. If a ticket has gone astray, the away collection booth is outside the West Stand on Leppings Lane, between Gates 6 and 7.

Hillsborough bag policy

Hillsborough strongly encourages supporters not to bring bags. Purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks and luggage of any kind are prohibited, while computer and camera bags are only permitted after a search.

Getting to Hillsborough: nearest station

Sheffield station to the ground is best done by Supertram, take the Blue Line from Cathedral and ride 25 minutes to Leppings Lane, the stop is opposite the away turnstiles. Buses 53 and 86 from town also run direct. Walking is a 50-minute trek along Penistone Road, the tram is the obvious move.
