Lamex Stadium
Home of Stevenage in Stevenage, capacity 7,800. Away fans are in the South Stand. Walk it from town or grab a 41 bus, the trek down Broadhall Way is uninspiring.
Lamex Stadium away guide
Away fans get the South Stand, which Stevenage put at 1,500. The opposition usually kick towards it in the second half. Turnstiles open 75 minutes before kick-off, earlier than most, 1.45pm for a 3pm start. Buy before you travel: nothing is sold at the turnstiles, and anything bought online for collection has to be picked up from the North Stand, which is the home end. There are 4 wheelchair spaces for away fans in the South Stand and 4 accessible parking bays on site, both worth booking ahead. The 76 Lounge inside the ground takes home and away fans, free, before the game, at half time and after. The East Terrace opposite is the standing end and where the drums are.
Bags larger than A4 (210mm × 297mm) aren't permitted and there's no bag storage at the ground. All bags are searched on entry.
Checked 30 May 2026 against Stevenage FC ground regulations.
Stevenage station is about a 35-minute walk, and the club's own route is a slog rather than a stroll: over the bridge towards the Gordon Craig theatre, through the tunnel, right at the town square, on through town and under the ASDA underpass, then down the dual carriageway past McDonald's and the Roaring Meg retail park until the ground shows up on the roundabout. Use the underpasses on Broadhall Way at the end. The 41 bus from Stevenage Interchange runs roughly every 15 minutes. Trains are LNER, Great Northern and Thameslink: 43 minutes from London King's Cross, 40 from Cambridge, and just under 2 hours from Leeds. Driving, it is junction 7 of the A1(M) and signposted, with free matchday parking for 500 cars at Fairlands Valley just north of the ground. Cross the A602 by the underpass, not the dual carriageway.
