Kassam Stadium
Home of Oxford United in Oxford, capacity 12,500. Three-sided ground (no East Stand). Out of town, the 35 or 35A bus from St Aldate's in the city centre is the move.
Kassam Stadium away guide
The Kassam is famously three-sided with no East Stand, and away fans are in the North Stand, which is where the away ticket office and the collection point for pre-ordered tickets sit. There are 13 wheelchair bays on a raised platform in the away section, and the away concourse has its own accessible toilet and low-level counters. Worth knowing before you park: after most games a security gate goes up behind the North Stand, so you cannot walk straight from the away end to the East car parks.
Oxford do not publish a bag rule for the Kassam, so treat the away end as bag-unfriendly and travel light. Expect to be searched on the way in.
Based on standard Football League ground policy. Check the club's official site before travel.
Oxford station to the Kassam is a long trek, the 35 or 35A bus from St Aldate's in the city centre runs roughly every 10 minutes and takes about 30 minutes. If you come in at Oxford Parkway, Oxford United suggest a connecting train into Oxford rather than trying to get across. Driving, head for west car park B1 opposite the VUE cinema, which is free and first come first served, and where away coaches are directed too. Get there early: there is one road onto the site and it backs up badly near kick-off. Do not park on the grass verges, the restrictions cover them and you will be ticketed. Leaving is slow, the car park is shared with a cinema and a bowling alley. The lack of an east stand makes the place feel exposed, dress for it.
