Portman Road

Away fans are in the Cobbold Stand along the side of the pitch: blocks VU1 to VU3 in the upper tier, plus VL in the lower. The back of each upper block is safe standing with seated rows at the front, and there's no lift to the upper tier. Entrances are on Portman Road itself and the turnstiles open about 90 minutes before kick-off.

Portman Road does not permit large bags: nothing bigger than a standard carrier bag or handbag gets in, and there are no facilities to leave bags at the ground.

Ipswich station is just under a 10-minute walk to Portman Road. Two routes in: London Liverpool Street, two or three Greater Anglia trains an hour, or Peterborough, which is hourly, four coaches long and gets rammed with limited options after the game and none after an evening one. Coming back to London after a night match the trains are usually 22:23 and 22:43. Away coaches park on West End Road, five to ten minutes out. The club suggest allowing an extra hour, and there are ticket barriers at Ipswich.
