Anfield

You're in the Anfield Road end behind the goal, in the lower AL blocks. Liverpool have fitted rails through the visitors' seats, so it is a licensed safe standing area and you may be asked to show your ticket on the way into it. Turnstiles open two hours before kick-off and there is alcohol on the away concourse. Wheelchair bays are in front of the away seats in blocks AL8 and AL9.

Anfield is the strictest in the division on bags: A5 only, so about the size of a paperback, not the A4 most grounds allow. Superstore purchases in the clear carrier are fine. There is no storage at the ground, so sort anything bigger before you travel, and if you need an oversized bag for medical kit, email the club at least 48 hours ahead.

The Soccerbus shuttle runs from Sandhills Merseyrail station on matchdays and drops you near the ground. Otherwise it's about a 35-minute walk from Liverpool city centre, or use the Stanley Park park-and-ride if you're driving.
