Riverside Stadium
Home of Middlesbrough in Middlesbrough, capacity 34,000. Away fans are in the South Stand. Take the train up from York or Newcastle to dodge the A19 motorway misery.
Riverside Stadium away guide
The away allocation sits in the South Stand, Lower Tier, behind the goal at the river end of the ground. The block runs across the lower terrace. Middlesbrough typically offer around 2,500 to 3,000 away seats for league fixtures. Away turnstiles are off Shepherdson Way, signposted on the walk in from the station.
Visiting-club guidance says supporters should avoid bringing bags to the Riverside. Bags must be A4 size or smaller, with larger-bag storage arranged in advance through Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough station is about a 12-minute walk along the dock road and past the new development, with direct trains from York, Newcastle and Manchester via Northallerton. The walk back at full time empties cleanly onto the platforms. Driving up the A1 then A19 is doable but adds time, the train is the easier shout.
