The away allocation sits on the Big Bank terrace, behind the goal. The block is standing-only on the historic terraced end of the small ground. Exeter typically offer around 1,200 to 1,500 places for league fixtures, limited by St James Park's 8,700 capacity. Away turnstiles are off Stadium Way, signposted from the St James Park station platform.

Exeter St James Park station is a 2-minute walk to the away turnstiles, one of the closest in the country, with hourly trains from Exeter Central. Exeter Central itself is a 10-minute walk if you're connecting from London Waterloo. Direct services from London Paddington run to Exeter St Davids, a 25-minute walk or short Devon Metro hop.
