Peninsula Stadium away guide

Salford City away end

Salford do not name the away stand anywhere they publish, so go by the approach instead. Away supporters come in off Moor Lane, the same road as the North Stand, but through their own entrance into their own fan zone. Nevile Road is for home fans in the South and West stands, and there is no way through the ground between the two roads, so arriving at the wrong one means walking round by Oaklands Road or Moorside Road. Neither indoor bar is yours: the 92 Bar is North Stand only before kick-off and Buck's Bar serves the West and South. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off. The club shop is on Moor Lane and you cannot get back out to it once you are through the turnstiles, only for half an hour after full time.

Peninsula Stadium bag policy

Bags larger than A4 (210mm × 297mm) aren't permitted and there's no bag storage at the ground. All bags are searched on entry.

Based on standard Football League ground policy. Check the club's official site before travel.

Getting to Peninsula Stadium: nearest station

Salford Crescent is the closest station but the club say it has no direct connections to the ground, so plan on a bus. From Manchester Victoria or Shudehill the 97, 98 or 99 take about 20 minutes to the A56 and Bury New Road junction, then it is a walk down Moor Lane. The X43 and the 93 cover the same trip in about 30 minutes. The 95 from Salford Shopping Centre takes 15 to 20 minutes and drops you where Moor Lane meets Kersal Road, which is the flat way up. Take the 93 to Salford Sports Village instead and you get Oaklands Road, a steep climb. A taxi from Manchester city centre is £10 to £15 for four. Nearest tram is Crumpsall, 1.7 miles out on the Bury line. There is no parking at the ground, the streets around it are restricted and enforced by the council, and the club will not recommend anywhere. Whitefield Park and Ride has a big car park with the 95 and 98 running from it. Midweek, the last buses back to Shudehill are about 23:23 on the 93 and 23:38 on the 97, 98 and 99, and the last 95 into Salford is about 22:20.
